Day 2 - Stone town & Spice tour
Our day begins with breakfast and a spectacular view over the Indian Ocean.  This morning we enjoy a walking tour of Stone Town, which exists today much as it did in the days when the “Isle of Spices” was a great trading center known the world over for spices and timber.  As we move away from the market, the winding streets grow serene and mysterious with whitewashed houses, ornately carved wooden doors and balconies studded with brass. We visit the Zanzibar Museum and the Old Fort.  After lunch on our own, we experience an afternoon of exploring the spice plantations which reveal why Zanzibar is known as the “Spice Island” – its bounty of cloves, nutmeg, ginger, chillies, black pepper, vanilla, coriander, and cinnamon have found their way around the world for centuries. Dinner and Overnight  at Zanzibar Serena Hotel. (BB, Lunch is on your own)
